Knitting Nancy is a small handheld knitting loom. She is known throughout the world by many different names such as spool knitter, corker, French knitter, tricotin, strickliesel, and dolly bobbin.

Some of the earliest Knitting Nancies were homemade from wooden spools with nails hammered into the top. However, today’s Knitting Nancies can be made or purchased in a variety of materials and styles.

Children and crafters around the world still use Knitting Nancies as tools for making their knitted cord creations. There are also people who choose to collect them simply for their interesting history and charming characteristics.
