More Things You Can Create

Here are some things you can make using your spool knitter or knitting doll:

Bookmarks

1. Knit a 10 inch cord.

2. Clip a piece of floral wire about the size of your cord. Bend the end of the wire into a loop at one end (this helps it not to snag) and feed it through the center of the cord. Form the cord into a heart shape.

3. Tie the ends of your cord together and glue onto a craft stick.

*cord lengths: butterfly 15”, flower 20”, and lollipop 20” (use glue not wire for lollipop)

Candy Canes

1. Knit two cords, one red cord and one white cord of equal lengths. Cord lengths in finished photo range between 7 – 10 inches long.

2. Clip floral wire about the length of each cord. Make a loop at one end of the wire and feed it through the center of the cord.

3. Twist the two cords together. Bend into a candy cane shape. Tie the white and red yarn ends together and cut off excess.

Magnetic Friends

1. Knit one 16 inch tan cord, two 6 inch tan cords, and two five inch dark brown cords.

2. Using mini glue dots or hot glue, roll the tan cords into spirals. Tie the dark brown cords’ ends together to make loops. Glue the small spirals onto the bottom half of the large spiral. Glue on eyes, nose, and tongue (cut out of pink felt).

3. Thread one yarn end from the dark brown cord loop through the top of the large spiral. Tie the ends together in back. Trim off extra yarn and attach magnet.

*cord lengths: heads = 16”, snouts/cheeks = 6”, rabbit ears = 5”, bear spiral ears = 4”, cat and pig ears = 1-1/2”
